Oakland Roots, a club known for its commitment to the community and competitive spirit, recently adopted the XPS Network platform to elevate its internal communication and player development. Founded in 2019, Roots joined USL Championship in 2021 and added a USL W League Women’s team Oakland Soul in 2023. “It makes it easy for me to share with the coaches because after I do that, it gives me the option to send it right then, minimizing the number of steps I would usually have to take. It’s very efficient, and I love it,” says Simmons.
Daily reporting through XPS has become a cornerstone of Roots’ training routine. Each day, players submit information on their readiness—covering their mood, sleep quality, muscle soreness, and overall feeling before training.
This data is then relayed to the performance staff, who ensure that coaches are informed about each player’s condition.
